| | The process of inspiring a student and "changing" him or her is fairly slow, but at least I can see it happening. It IS working! True that it can't happen to everyone, but if a student ever benefits from what I say and do, I would be satisfied and honoured. This is like the story of the shepherd who has 100 sheep. He rejoices when the lost one is found. Perhaps I have to take the same role to lead those who are lost or don't seem to know their way. It is easy to complain about the hardships, but it is also important to remember all the defining moments in my life as a teacher. I thank all those students who are cooperative and obedient, but I must also thank those whom teachers doubt but are still willing to improve. Accepting one's shortcomings and being open to changes is something that both you and me have to learn and it's a lifelong challenge. When life fails you, never forget those who have inspired you at certain points in your life. Then you will find the strength to move on. If you believe in the value of what you did, you don't have to regret even though others feel it differently. IT DOES NOT CHANGE ITS VALUE! Don't look back as we should be looking into our future. |
